Q. What denomination does RockSpring Church belong to?
RockSpring Church is the English-speaking congregation of Dallas Central Methodist Church and is affiliated with the Global Methodist Church. More information can be found on our website under the “Beliefs” section.
Q. What does DCMC stand for, and how do I join membership?
DCMC stands for Dallas Central Methodist Church. DCMC is the Korean-speaking congregation, while RockSpring Church is the English-speaking congregation. Although we share one building, we function as two congregations with distinct ministries. At the same time, we are united as one church in membership and purpose, working together for the Kingdom of God. We value collaboration while honoring the unique calling of each ministry.
When joining, it is important to indicate your preferred affiliation. Those who wish to join the Korean Ministry will be assisted by our leadership team. Those who wish to join the English Ministry (RockSpring Church) are asked to complete the guest card on our website under the “Visit Us” section. A member of our leadership team will contact you to arrange a meeting with our pastor and invite you to participate in a four-week New Membership Class. After officially joining, members go through a six-month spiritual mentorship period before beginning to serve in ministry.
Q. What Bible translation do you use?
At RockSpring Church, the NIV Bible translation is used during the 11:00 AM service, while the ESV translation is used during the 2:00 PM service and Friday prayer meeting.
Q. Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code at RockSpring Church. Most members dress casually, and attendees are encouraged to come as they are. What matters most is a sincere heart that desires to worship Jesus.
Q. Is online service available?
Yes. While we love to see you in person, online worship is available for those who are unable to attend in person due to extenuating circumstances. The 2:00 PM service provides live-streamed every Sunday, and sermon-only videos are posted on the website every Monday at 5:00 PM. You can also access sermon-only videos on our YouTube channel. However, livestream services and recap videos are not available on YouTube and can only be viewed on our website. These resources can be accessed through the “Media” section of our website.
Q. What other services or public gatherings are available?
In addition to Sunday worship, RockSpring Church offers several other gatherings. Friday Night Prayer takes place at 8:00 PM in Underwood Chapel and includes worship and prayer for the church, the nation, and the world, as well as Christ-centered expositional preaching from our pastor. Intercessory prayer is also held on Sundays at 9:15 AM in Underwood Chapel, focusing
on prayer for both Sunday services, the pastor, church leadership, and the entire RockSpring congregation to be filled with the Holy Spirit.Small groups meet on a monthly basis and provide opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth. Our leadership team is available to help individuals connect to a small group upon request. All are welcome, and we invite you to come as you are.
