​​​​Reverend. Dr. Won D. Kim is a Korean Canadian-American, born in Seoul, Korea, grew up in Toronto, Ontario, before moving to the United States. With nearly three decades of pastoral ministry in a wide range of ministry settings, Pastor Won has served as an English-Speaking Congregation (EM) pastor in Korean-American churches in Los Angeles, Toronto and Detroit. For the past fifteen years, he has also served as a Senior Pastor in cross-cultural appointments throughout the Michigan area, including nine years as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul Methodist Church in Elkton, Michigan. He has actively contributed to the wider connectional church through his leadership on the Board of Ministry of the Great Lakes Annual Conference and a member of the task-force committee on Certified Lay Ministry of the Global Methodist Church. Alongside his pastoral leadership, Pastor Won completed his chaplaincy education through the Institute of Clinical Pastoral Training (ICPT), and has spent the past ten years serving as a hospital chaplain, providing spiritual care at Genesys Regional Hospital, now known as Henry Ford Medical Center (Grand Blanc, MI), Scheurer Hospital, and Country Bay Senior Living Facility (Pigeon, MI).
Pastor Won holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from York University in Toronto Ontario, a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from McMaster University Divinity College in Hamilton Ontario, a Master of Arts in Wesleyan Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. His doctoral dissertation is entitled "Expanding Leadership in Contextual Ecclesiology: A Comprehensive Study on the Connection between Discipleship and Leadership", a work that offers both theological insight and practical frameworks for cultivating spiritual leadership across diverse ecclesial contexts. He has published scholarly work in multiple venues, including the Emory University Scholar Blog, Christian Daily, and the Huron Daily Tribune. He is also the author of "Faithful Leadership in an Unfaithful World: Bearing the Mantle of Biblical Responsibility", a work that reflects his deep longing for the restoration of authentic biblical leadership that brings God’s healing and renewal in a broken world.

Pastor Won is an Ordained Elder in the Global Methodist Church and serves as the Lead Pastor of RockSpring Church. He currently serves on the International Ecumenical Relations Committee of the Global Methodist Church and also serves on the Prayer Network Committee of the Korean-American Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church. A lifelong Methodist, he desires to be a Jesus-loving, Bible-believing, and Grace-trusting follower of Jesus Christ, passionate about building a church rooted in a Holy Spirit-inspired movement that submits to the Lordship of Jesus, upholds the authority of Scripture, and remains committed to the historic Wesleyan orthodox faith. Pastor Won is married to Jessie and they are blessed with three teenage children: Ryan, Joy, and Sarabeth.
