From the pastor to you:

By the grace of God, the English-speaking ministry of Dallas Central Methodist Church has been brought faithfully to this day. As our leadership team reflected on the journey we have taken under the name The Bridge Ministry, we began to sense that the Lord was calling us beyond being a ministry on the margins. With a growing desire to establish a healthy and Christ-centered English-speaking church for the future, we entered into a season of prayer and discernment. Over the past several months, I shared this vision with our executive leadership council (ELC) and invited them into a process of discernment. Together, we engaged in thoughtful discussions and sought the Lord’s guidance. After presenting this vision to our servant leadership and spending further time in prayer, the Lord made His direction clear and I am pleased to announce that God has led us to the new name: RockSpring Church.

We live in a generation where people feel utterly empty—physically, emotionally, and spiritually exhausted. Families are being torn apart, churches face intense spiritual battles, and nations stand deeply divided. In such a time, how are we as Christians called to live? The people of Israel wrestled with the same question as they passed through the wilderness at Rephidim. (Exodus 17:1-7) Thirsty, desperate, and ready to give up, they quarreled with Moses and nearly gave up on God. Yet in their trial, God revealed His grace in a powerful way: He brought forth water from the rock—an impossible provision in human eyes. When Moses struck the rock and water gushed out, this was far more than an Old Testament story. It was a foreshadowing of Christ, the true Rock who pours out living water for His people. The Apostle Paul declares: “They drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:4). At the cross, Christ our Rock was struck for our sins, and from His side flowed blood and water (John 19:34)—the cleansing and life-giving stream for all who believe. This is why we believe there is power in the blood, and there is power in the cross. In a world that is wounded and broken, the Lord still invites us: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink” (John 7:37) We believe with all our hearts that the only hope for families, churches, and even nations is to be built upon Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation.

Korean-American churches face a critical moment of paradigm shift within our immigrant church community. For our church to continue moving forward faithfully, investing in English-speaking congregations with a broader vision of embracing multi-ethnic group is absolutely essential. Whether we are ready to acknowledge it or not, there is undeniable truth that within a decade, Korean-American churches will increasingly consist of predominantly English-speaking congregations. For English Ministry to grow strong and vibrant, we must return to the foundation of Christ. Our vision is to be a church rooted in Christ the Rock and overflowing with the living waters of His Spirit—bringing healing, renewal, and revival to families, the church, our local community, and to the ends of the earth. We long for RockSpring Church to be a place where lives are built on Christ and refreshed by His Spirit until His glory fills the earth. I humbly ask for your continued support and prayers as we embark on this sacred journey with a trembling heart. To God be the glory!
