The joy of fellowship

From the Pastor to you:

Today, November 8th, our RockSpring Church family gathered for our Field Day — a day filled with worship, laughter, good food, and joyful fellowship under God’s open sky. Although not everyone could join, the Lord brought together a wonderful number of our brothers and sisters to share life and faith as one church family. What made this gathering even more meaningful was that it was our second time coming together since Jimmy and Esther’s extended small group invitation not too long ago — with both our college/single adult group and family group united in one spirit and one body. As we continue to meet more often, I am truly thankful to see everyone getting to know one another, greeting each other warmly, and sharing life together in fellowship.

As I looked around the park, I saw smiles, heard laughter, and witnessed hearts open to one another — caring, yielding, and embracing as the people of God. It reminded me of Psalm 133:1: “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” There is something deeply sacred about the simple act of being together in Christ. Just as the early church “broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts” (Acts 2:46), our time of worship, games, and shared meals became an offering of joy to the Lord. It was not just a picnic or event — it was a glimpse of the Kingdom, where all generations and all walks of life come together as one family in Christ.

My heart is filled with excitement and gratitude as I think about what God will do through RockSpring in the days ahead. May this same spirit of unity and love continue to grow among us — not only in our gatherings, but in our daily lives as we live out the Gospel together. To all who came, served, prepared, and prayed — thank you. To those who were not able to make it, we missed you. You have all shown what it means to be the Church: one body, many members, joined together in love and grace.

Shalom,

Rev. Won D. Kim
