We live in a generation carrying heavy burden - felt in our bodies, our hearts and our souls. Families are strained, churches face spiritual battle, and nations are divided. God's people faced similar crisis in the wilderness at Rephidim. (Exodus 17:1-7), where Israel - thirsty, desperate, and questioned God. Yet in their trial, God revealed His grace by brining water from the Rock, an impossible provision in human eyes. When Moses struck the rock and water gushed out, this was far more than an Old Testament story. It was a foreshadowing of Christ, the true Rock who pours out living water for His people. As Paul writes: “They drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:4). At the cross, Christ our Rock was struck for our sins, and from His side flowed blood and water (John 19:34), the cleansing and life-giving stream for all who believe. This is why we believe there is power in the blood, and there is power in the cross. In a world that is wounded and broken, the Lord still invites us: “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink” (John 7:37). Only when our lives are built on Him, the Rock of our Salvation, and covered by His grace, can we find true victory.
