Greetings to our RockSpring Church Family.
Happy and Blessed 4th of July!
This Fourth of July carries a special meaning. As our nation commemorates 250 years since the Declaration of Independence, we pause to give thanks for God's faithfulness throughout generations. For two and a half centuries, the United States has endured seasons of triumph and trial, prosperity and hardship, unity and division. Yet through every chapter of our history, the gracious hand of God has sustained this nation. As Christians, we celebrate our country's heritage with gratitude, but we also remember that our highest allegiance belongs to the Kingdom of God. We cherish the freedoms secured by those who sacrificed before us, especially the freedom to worship God according to our conscience, to proclaim the gospel without fear, and to live out our faith in public and private life. These are precious gifts that should never be taken for granted.
As we gather with family and friends, watch fireworks, and remember the sacrifices of those who have served our nation, let us also lift up America in prayer; especially such a time like this. Pray for our leaders, for our military, for first responders, for our schools, for our communities, and for the next generation. Pray that righteousness would prevail over wickedness, truth over deception, and hope over despair. Most importantly, let us remember that the greatest freedom is not political but spiritual. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been set free from the power of sin and death. Every earthly liberty points us to that greater liberty found only in the Savior. As Jesus declared, "If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).
May God continue to bless America not merely with prosperity, but with repentance, wisdom, justice, and a renewed love for Him. And may our RockSpring Church faithfully proclaim the gospel until every heart, every home, and every nation comes to know Jesus Christ as Lord. Happy Independence Day, and may God bless the United States of America.
Grace and Peace,
Rev. Won Kim
Lead Pastor of RockSpring Church
